Welcome to IWETHEY!

New I smell a rat
A big fat female rat with fake angel wings.

(Don't worry, she's not on here)

(Breathes deeply)

If you think you're being set up to be tricked, what's the best course of action to take? Do you pretend you aren't aware of it, call them out on it, stand back and see what happens?

I'm sorry to vent about this in here, but I haven't felt this much emotional anger in a long long time, and it surprised me... I think my husband's ex-girlfriend is up to her old stuff... and I think she may already be in the process of setting me up for some kind of shock or shakeup.

I don't have enough proof, so I'm open for suggestions?

New Not enough proof - wait and see
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail ... but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"
New Who do you trust?
If you trust your husband more than his ex, ignore her.

If you trust his ex more than your husband, his ex isn't the problem.

New I trust John
He would never go back to her, and I know that.

What I'm worried about is the things she knows and the way she lies to my friends to turn them against me... she's done it before. I would like to hope that she can't do it again, years later, but I'm still nervous.

But I agree with you, Jrabeck, I don't have enough proof. Not yet. But some people are trying to get us to set up a Happy Hour for the Old Affinity group, and well... I think she is trying to get me there and freak me out.

So I'm not setting up any Happy Hour at this point. I don't feel good about it.

New Re: Forewarned - forearmed.
I agree here too, being aware she might be sprung on me in person somewhere is helpful. However, my panic anxiety doesn't always dictate how I will physically react.

I still think I'm smarter to stay away from a possible scenario where she could show up.

I also have taken a few steps to privately warn some of the members in my group about her and what she could say.... kinda like pre-damage control.

She used to be really good at making me crazy, and so help me, I don't want to let her do it again.

...pr0n3d. I'd say it's time to poke the needles in the voodoo doll.
New sounds familiar
she's playing nice nice in order to fuck you over. Easist thing is this, if she rattles you up it hurts your marriage. Either the hubby will be pissed off at you that you are letting her get to you or he will be inadvertantly involved thru no action he saw coming. (Men are dumb that way) The only way you win in this is a disarming "Oh really? How quaint" and NEVER, EVER show that it got to you even if you lose your home, husband and friends. Thats how you win.
good luck and since many of us have seen a lot, give details that are not specific, maybe we can help.

Thanks, I think so too. But John won't be mad at me, he does understand what she's pulled in the past... heck she snowed him and many others for 4 years until he finally saw her true colors and ended the friendship, permanently.

I think she's pulled a Orion trick, made a new ID and integrated herself into Affinity, and I also think she might be dating a guy from the old BBS who recently returned. And he might not even REALIZE the connection to us.

I haven't tipped my hand that I suspect this, other than here, and I don't think she can find here.... God, I hope not.

Someone using her ID also IMed another member of my group last night.

good luck and since many of us have seen a lot, give details that are not specific, maybe we can help.

Hope that was some details, if you need more let me know. Main thing I have to do is not overreact, or tip my hand too soon, I have to wait and see, but man, that's hard.

New well a new id is easy enough
a "wow, foo posts just like bar" comment is enough to tip of the others. If she is hard coding a bbs member, remember a guy doesnt want to know anything about a girls background is she is over 25. People change.
