1 lb ground chuck or ground round (ground buffalo is best)
1 slice thick bacon
1/2 head of cabbage
1 can large red kidney beans
one can Roitel tomatoes green chilis(mexican version with cilantro)
1 garlic bud
1 cup red onion
paprika, red pepper, black pepper, salt, sage to taste
chop garlic bud into manageable bits, add salt into motar and pestle and turn into paste.
dice onions and mold beef into meatballs with the onions, garlic, salt, black and red pepper and black pepper mold into solid little meatballs
put 1 quart water on boil add cabbage chopped into quarters, meatballs canned goods, from about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour cabage should be soft and edible, meatballs should be firm and cooked, soup is ready to serve.
