New Offical Ohio recount ends
[link|http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&ncid=703&e=1&u=/ap/20041228/ap_on_re_us/ohio_vote|Yahoo News]
Election officials finished the presidential recount in Ohio on Tuesday, with the final tally shaving about 300 votes off President Bush's six-figure margin of victory in the state that gave him a second term.

My understanding is that this was not a full recount though. Only a small fraction of the votes where recounted. There have also been some questions about irregularities in the way the recount was done.

Personally, I don't doubt that Bush won Ohio. But I also don't doubt that there where wide spread problems with the voting system and a number of things done that amount to fraud.

New Without paper ballots there's no suprise here
I think that's part of the problem. W/ nothing but the balloting machine's memory w/ which to work, I wouldn't expect any major changes in the outcome.

The problem is, if there was voter fraud, we'll never know.

Whatever... the country is going to hell anyway. Might as well grab some popcorn and enjoy the show.

thanks

New Should be required to re-vote
this time with enough voting machines in all districts and use of paper trail.

New Would make the most sense
That would probably make the most sense, but to have any chance of happening one of the lawsuits has to go forward and discover hard fraud.

It will not be enough to show that Democratic districts got fewer voting machines per voter, they need to find a memo from Blackwell telling people to make it that way.
