And I bet I can pre-order this amazing technology for just $19.99, right?

Tenacious or what
Despite the unanimous hostility by other members of the board, this nutcase still tries to impress his purile message. It seems the guy simply doesn't understand the tactic of 'step back and try a different approach'. He could at least make himself better known on this board. He seems so enamoured to his idea, he cannot consider adapting it or himself. I just can't grok how someone can willingly dismiss self-evaluation and not have part of his psyche rebel. When I was a teenager, I wanted to believe in some religious claptrap but couldn't ignore the abuses of logic. How can anyone have faith but then dismiss logic that would help that faith?

Not Norm.
I'm regrettably all too familiar with Norm's style of writing and he's insufficiently sophisticated to differentiate the voices of his personas.
You can always spot a Norm text because of his style of using lots of run-on sentences, like this one, and they often end in a sentence, do you know what I mean?
The grammar and spelling is also distinctly superior to his.
Whoever this is, it isn't Norm.

There are places...
...near me that you can stay that will save you a few quid. I can also get you into some nice places downtown at some discounted rates if need be...but downtown will guarantee over 100US per night. There will be alot going on over there that week, as Independence Day is a big deal in the Cradle of Liberty, dontcha know.
There's always my house, too. Rooms are severaly discounted for the party :-)We'll be there through the party...and the following weekend off to the wedding of my nephew. Floorspace is at a premium Friday and Saturday...but long distance travlers get preferred seating.
Plenty to see, Independence Mall, Liberty Bell, Boathouse Row, Gino's and Pat's (cheesesteak central), my pool, Aquarium, USS New Jersey, the IWETHEY gang. We'll fill your agenda.
Places not to see, north Philly around Temple U, West Philly under the El...that is unless you like bullets...me...I'm allergic ;-)
We should also avoid Camden NJ. Same reasons as above.
Did I leave anything out Imric?

I've been to all those places, I was never shot at. If you hear loud *crack*s, then just pretend the sound is a firecracker...
As for 'sights', well, there's the Jersey Shore (AC or the 'Canadian Riviera', Wildwood) - I'd say take him to see the creepy abandoned buildings in Asbury Park, but I think they finally tore them down...
And, if he has time to sitesee, then there are any number of NYC landmarks; MOMA, Ms. Liberty, the Empire State building, etc, etc...

How long you gonna be over?
Sunday after the beeps bash I usually head to the bronx NY but this year I will have only myself so only need to spend 20 minutes in the bronx and would be willing to spend the rest of the day trolling NYC then drive south back thru philly territory about 1.5 hr drive time. Also a ride thru the Smokey mountains might be arranged, kick you off in Atlanta with a ride back to Philly area. Good views, food and you get to meet real southerners. Heck in this country if you have a whole week you could get to North Dakota and back, regards, daemon

That's just unseemly
Pleading for the tall guy with the accent to show up naked for a pool party.
Or were you pleading for the beer?

The BEER.
It's been so long... I miss real beer. Sometimes in the US you get an acceptable microbrew, but nothing actually GOOD.
*sigh*

DC is a two hour drive.
Or you could take the train. You should at least go down there to observe the stench. Oh, and there's museums, and stuff.
