New 2004.04
Downloaded and burned. Couldn't take advantage of your offer for some reason.

No biggie. Didn't recognize sound and wireless card. Working through those after I get it updated.

First apt-get was the update. Next was aptitude. Next will be xfce. Then I fix the rest.

KDE is ok..but too much for this old thing to deal with.

I settled on Mepis because of the sound-card support/detection! *chuckle*

No issue really. I've done this a couple times to this lapper before. Just a matter of getting a round tuit.
