No figure on number of ballots to be counted in Ohio
I'm guessing that is what Kerry is waiting on at this point. It appears that there will be enough ballots to count that Kerry will still have a chance, but it's not clear right now how realistic a chance Kerry will have.
It seems likely to me that the ballots will favor Kerry since a lot of them come from heavily populated city areas. But how much is an open question.

I recall hearing 250,000
Math time.
Bush leads by 130,000.
Historically 10% of provisional ballots are rejected -- 25,000 leave 225,000
Kerry needs first 130,000 to tie, then next 47,500 to keep tie.
=== Kerry needs to win 177,500 votes out of 225,000 or 78.88888888%
Likely no. Possible - slim.
Bush wins.

The number is much lower
[link|http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,137407,00.html|Ohio] "Republican Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell has released provisional vote numbers for 78 of Ohio's 88 counties, showing a total of 135,149 provisional ballots, according to Blackwell's Web site. "
This means there are a lot fewer then 250,000 votes, it is much closer to 150,000, yake away 10% and there aren't enough for Kerry to win.

Florida might still be flippable also
Apparently there are enough uncounted provisional and mail in ballots in Florida to flip the state. If the figure I saw of more then 1 million uncounted ballots is correct, Kerry may have a better chance of getting Florida to flip then Ohio.

Not according to this
[link|http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,137486,00.html|Kerry Calls Bush to Concede]
"The top Kerry election official in Florida said he knows it's over in the Sunshine State and did not see many litigation prospects there. But, he said, that approach may be applicable in Ohio."

Concession means nothing.
If a candidate concedes but still wins, he wins, period. Concession is a quaint little custom that, when coupled with $1.50, will get you a ride on the CTA (for the next couple of weeks, anyway...then it'll take more like a buck-seventyfive).

No, I don't
But on the other hand, he can holler all he wants (maybe even stamp his feet). Won't change a thing; the winner is the one with the most electoral votes, concessions notwithstanding.
Unless, of course, Duh changes the Constitution...but I don't wanna go there.......yet.
