Why inkjet? The cartridges are expensive. Try #154392

Presumably ghostscript/gsview would be able to drive it.
I've got a Lexmark PS3 (emulated) laser I like at work, but it was $1200 or so.
Cheers, Scott.

Still on first cartridge.
Many hundreds of pages printed.
This was a smart buy.

With Linux?
I didn't see it listed on the Unix printer compatibility page. (Just curious)

bsd, darwin had to get vuescan for the scanner to work
generic type photo printer from HP so you might need to hork around with different drivers till one worked. Heck I used to have to do that with winders all the time. regards, daemon

I have and am largely happy with a Canon BJC-6000. From the current crop, I'd recommend a Canon i550 or a Canon Pixma iP4000 or iP5000.

Cool
I wanted to get an i550 but could not confirm Linux support - thanks.

You didn't say anything about Linux support.
I do all my printing from Windows.

D'oh. *I* should have spotted that! :-)
Rummaging on the web, Ghostscript support for Canons seems very old. But I haven't tried anything. For Linux printing, I'd really recommend something that a) has an ethernet port and b) speaks native PostScript. Unfortunately, that means spending some money. Tektronix/Xerox Phasers would be a good place to start if That's What You Want To Do.
Wade.
