New Clueless people and Kerry supporters...
It's a given about Bush supporters...
But she writes:

In further unhappy evidence of how ill-informed the American people are (blame the media), the Program on International Policy Attitudes found Bush supporters consistently ill-informed about Bush's stands on the issues (Kerry-ans, by contrast, are overwhelmingly right about his positions).

Kerry-ans may be overwhelmingly right about his positions, BUT, that doesn't mean that they aren't even more ignorant. See, my friend, you have to assume first that Kerry's positions are of any "informational" value. In other words, just because you have the ability to accurately recite lies, damned lies and exagerations and outright fabrications and dumbass slogans - it makes you no more or less "ill informed" than your average Bush supporter. Right?

:-) ... Keep up the faith, Silver!

Just a few thoughts,

New It wasn't just the positions...
The report (not Ivins' article) covered Bush supporters vs. Kerry supporters on what they thought the 9/11 commission and the Duelfer reports' conclusions were as well. Those aren't campaign slogans.

But, agreed on the point, anyway. I hate politicians.

New Hey, wait a minute.
Of course its easier to be correct and informed on Kerry's positions...he takes all sides of every issue.

Or conversely, its impossible to know what Kerry's positions are because he hasn't really taken any.

By the way...

New I think something that bites Kerry in the ass a lot...
is that his positions aren't very simple. Something like the defense appropriations bill that Bush has been hammering him over can't be defended in a sound bite, even though his actions at the time made plenty of sense. If the typical North American Potbellied Beersucker could be made to slow down long enough to actually have time to think about their position, that particular issue would be a non-.

Problem is, the world is a complex place, and Bush likes (at least in his campaigning) to make it a very simple one.
All I want for my birthday is a new President!
New Re: Hey, wait a minute.
The next time I take you seriously will be the first time I take you seriously.

Seriously.
Cthulhu for President. Why vote for a lesser evil?
