It MIGHT be -- it would actually make more sense as -- something like, "as for the new User-ID, the reason I got that is, I'm trying to avoid cursorary noise"... But that's not what it SAYS. What it actually COMES OUT as, is more like, "as for the new User-ID, getting that has turned out to be cursorary noise, which I was actually trying to avoid"; or possibly "as for the new User-ID, getting that was just cursorary noise, so now I'm avoiding it". (See? I TOLD you it doesn't make sense!)
