Welcome to IWETHEY!

New For those like me, found a cool site...
[link|http://www.stentorian.com/politics/|http://www.stentorian.com/politics/]

It's a mishmash of stuff but well consolidated and downright cynical/funny...
Just a few thoughts,

Danno
New Oh THAT'S it! The Kyoto Protocol causes outsourcing.
Thank God(tm)! we didn't sign on to that!

bcnu,
Mikem

"The struggle for the emancipation of the working class is not between races or religions. It is one of class against class. Every trace of anti-Semitism, or any form of race hatred cannot assist the oppressed, it can on the contrary only aid the exploiters. Workers of all nationality, religion or creed must stand together against the common enemy: capitalism."
-Ted Grant
New Where'd you see that one?
I saw a couple references to the treaty but nothing said that.

I didn't scour the page, though.

New RHINO, bottom left.
Here's the text:
Lincoln Chafee (RhINO) and Lamar Alexander (RhINO) prove either their incompetence or their disloyalty to the United States by supporting the Kyoto Global Warming Treaty. What part of "ship jobs offshore" don't they understand?

Mikem

New Misinterpretation.
Which was what I thought was happening.

Making energy use in this country prohibitively expensive compared to the nations not regulated by the protocol would have destroyed the already feeble chance we had at locating new manufacturing jobs in this country.

Following the link will take you to their statement of position.

While most of the info is pretty much bunk...I agree with the conclusion that the protocol was bad and could not be signed.

In order to make sure you had a workable protocol that would actually help the global enviroment...China and the rest of Southeast Asia would have to be included.

New A new low. You're defending ...
the conclusions of that site. Wow.

New This is pretty neat (and post edit makes this nonsensical)
"While most of the info is pretty much bunk" is a defense?

Cool.

Post edit...its still an idiotic line of reasoning..even after the "clarification"

New So -
Information is bunk, though he agrees with the conclusion = "defending this site" as "a new low"?

OK - so if I put up a really stupid and offensive site that defends something you agree with, that means that your agreement with a conclusion in said hypothetical site means that you have reached a new low?

I thought not.

New Uh huh. It does.
But does it justify casting aspersions on anyone that agrees with the conclusions reached on that site? Regardless of how those conclusions were reached?

Nope.

I'd probably go further overboard with you :-)

that would mean that you supported literal interpretation of the Bible?

Would that mean you were of 'like mind' with the writers of the Bible?

Heehee.

OK, I'm done...

New It seems to me you care more than you'll admit.
By the way, I thought the graphics on the site were less than effective. 3D rendering just doesn't work for me as a tool for caricature.

in My Gramma mode. (And stentor works fine sans the -ian, as a noun. Typical word-butchery; sounds like Rush-with-pix.)

Kinda makes SNL look almost Good, no? Gotta love the "Democratic Left Line" - at least one ~reminder per \ufffd; is there an attention span problem with the audience? Sheesh, Dan - sending us to a Frat party, but without Belushi for comic relief?

You and your logic. We never hear about anything but your logic. Everything I propose you batter down with your logic. I'm fed up with you and your cold, rational criticism.
