If you understood *ANYTHING* about Discover and Hotplug, the way they are implemeted in Debian or Knoppix or Xandros... etc you'd have not even posted you blazing distribe about my blatant mis-direction of fixing the problem.
And, how is it, that editing a config file is WAY more work and compiling a kernel is WAY more simple?
The first one survives Kernel Security updates, the second one PREVENTS KERNEL SECURITY UPDATES.
