Welcome to IWETHEY!

New That's a smaller tank than my Laguna.
I've got a 66 litre (17.43 US gallon) tank in that. And get better mpg. (Motorway driving is ~35mpg, urban is ~20mpg).

I can get about 450 miles out of a tank in normal use - probably 75% urban, 25% motorway.

New That's about the same economy as my Lancer.
In metric it's about 9 litres/100km. In imperial, that's about 32 miles per gallon.

And my girlfriend just bought a Nissan X-Trail (medium sized 4WD) that boasts 8 L/100km (35mpg). It remains to be seen if it really does, but it's a 2.4L engine in a 1.5T body (I'm told that's light for a 4WD), so it just might.

Wade.

Is it enough to love
Is it enough to breathe
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed

Is it enough to die
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be Anything but Ordinary
Please

New I get slightly less MPG when...
averaging 120MPH.

No but seriously, driving through Hills and Mountains a coupla years back in my Lancer to Bill's... got like 38MPG ~ 80MPH.

I like my Lancer, still do in fact, as of today I completely own it. Only the Lender has to sign off on it.

Cheers!

No matter how much Microsoft supporters whine about how Linux and other operating systems have just as many bugs as their operating systems do, the bottom line is that the serious, gut-wrenching problems happen on Windows, not on Linux, not on Mac OS. -- [link|http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1622086,00.asp|source]

New What kills me...
is that my airplane at 124 mph gets better miles/gallon than my 2003 Honda Pilot.
No joke. I burn less gasoline flying to work than I do driving to work (in that UAV - which I have ceased to do for the reason below).

I don't understand all the hype around Honda cars. I've got a 1994 Ford Aerostar with the same size engine on a truck frame with 160,000 miles that gets 10% better fuel economy than the 2003 unitized body Honda Pilot (which is front wheel drive most of the time). If Honda engineering is so great, why does my van get better mileage than my UAV?

New Dunno about mpg...
...but my next car is, without doubt, going to be a BMW 3-series.

The build. The quality. The drive. The cabin. The reasonable depreciation.

Oh yes.

New Re: Dunno about mpg...
Oh christ, Peter in a turban :-)
my brother in holland sez only north africans and turks drive german in europe. Sensible people drive renaults, volvos and ford windstars. I asked him why and he claims the quality of mercedes and bmw is in the toilet lately.

daemon
New That's Holland, though.
They're all pot-smoking hippies over there, allegedly.

In-the-toilet quality of a BMW or Mercedes (with the notable exception of the A-class, which is renowned as a bag of shite) is still better than the run-of-the-mill repmobiles (an example of which I currently own).

New :) BMW == Break My Windows
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
New when I hear "Honda Engineering"
I think of reliability, not fuel economy.
