Related and OT
Oldest daughter (18) came home from U this weekend. Called last night after she had returned. All upset.
She got her first speeding ticket 2 miles from campus (about a 3 hour drive from home). Her boyfriend yelled at her, and she was terrified to call home and tell mom (my ex), so she called me instead.
Told her next time slow down around campus. Didn't point out the obvious that cops would always set up speed traps on Sunday evening next to campus, waiting to catch students rushing back to school....
ANd no, I didn't yell at her. Figured she was remorseful enough.
