My son Ben
Go to tournaments, memorizes the rules for the new cards on the day of release, wheels and deals, trading, buying, selling them.
I'll give him $30 for food and entry cost to a tournament, he'll come back with $40.

With a vengeance
With absolute focus. He plays for at least an hour a day, either at friends, at home, or over the internet.

Would he want to buy 2 old junk decks?
Last week while cleaning I ran across the decks from when I played (very) casually in the mid 90's. If you want, I can send a list of the cards that I had.
I was trying to figure out what to do with them. Your son is probably better than the garbage.
Cheers, Ben

$$$
Some cards from the Mid 90s could be quite valuable. Escpecially the "Moxes" I think the Black Pearl.
If you have a local hobby or games shop, go pick up an issue of Scrye for a price guide. There are a bunch of free online price guides too, but I wouldn't know who is reputable. My game store manager buddy says that many of the free online lists can be a bit overinflated.

None of mine are valuable
I just glanced at a list. The most expensive thing that I think I have is a Hypnotic Specter. $5.
However I should figure out how much the list is worth before sending them.
Cheers, Ben

Send the list
Actually, if you were going to throw them out, send the cards! You owe me for the ride (and entertainment) anyway.

Hey, hey, hey!
Would you try to add stipulations on a gift after you give it?
I'm first going to get the list and estimate how much I think it is worth. Then see what he offers.
Cheers, Ben
