(Have personally seen it scan a document not people that claim stuff works) thanx, bill These miserable swine, having nothing but illusions to live on, marshmallows for the soul in place of good meat, will now stoop to any disgusting level to prevent even those miserable morsels from vanishing into thin air. I don't have a lot of experience with USB scanners, but I've gotten a Umac SCSI scanner working fine with [link\|http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/7610\|VueScan]. (I notice from the comments there that Canon is problematic because they won't release the specs.) At any rate, I'm sorry to hear about your problem and can certainly understand your frustration. I believe PHOTO refers to the film/slide adapter being included with the scanner. Apple has a [link\|http://www.apple.com/macosx/upgrade/scanners.html\|What scanners can I use?] page. Quick search on Outpost(Fry's online store) turned up [link\|http://shop4.outpost.com/product/3614275\|EPSON 1260] for $50, [link\|http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4181593\|EPSON 1670] for $60.
