Despite discrepancies, we get this from the husband:
Knowles said Kerry didn't distort facts.
``Kerry never said anything we didn't tell him,'' he told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.
Also of import:
Judy Reardon, a Kerry campaign spokeswoman, said the bottom line is that Mary Ann Knowles had to keep working because she would have received full disability pay for only 10 days.
Of course, w/out their insurance plan in hand, we can't be sure of the precise terms. But even indefinite coverage at 70% when hubby is out of work - and then needing to care for Mary Anne while enduring chemo, while looking for a job - heh... too much for the average American to endure... despite the, what, $1200 American tax payers were getting back.. on average.
Now... I only wonder where John Knowles' job went?... two years down the line and he still can't find work in our recovering economy. Oh yeah.. jobless recovery.. silly me!
thanks
