we are not controlling Iraq anymore, we've set up their own intern government and paid for education to help them learn to run it and rebuild their civilization. So why, then,...

..are we shipping ever more troops to a country "we no longer control"? (As if we ever did control it....)

Doesn't sound like their "interim government" is all that much, does it?
