Lit here, but don't be intimidated; even our prolific scribes have the occasional problems with they're, there and their - and some ie-s where ei-s belong. Like.. 'weird' IS weird! [i before e, except after c?] Uh uh. Somewhere there's a test letter, IIRC written for "foreigh service" training. A lengthy missive with a huge collection of our homonyms and idioms. Easy enough for a native via .. osmosis? I hope to pin down a copy again; ugly! I can't imagine how this stuff can be absorbed very fast, beyond about 10-13 years of age.
