New Re: RedHat down 21% today (7/13 1:52 PM ET)
They're moving from reporting subscription revenue on a monthly basis to a daily basis. They were counting the first month of an annual subscription as a full month of income. Now they'll only count from the day the subscription is sold.

It doesn't sound like a big deal, but who knows what goes through the mind of some investors.

New Wall street hacks
There are a bunch of Wall Street hacks who probably saw "income restatement" and rushed to dump it under the assumption it was another huge dollar vanishing act.

they shouldn't have had to change the way they were reporting. If they do have to change, it means either they screwed up (stock down) or they were trying to mis-report their earnings (stock down).
