Seems there is some relevance based on it, browsing through much stuff. I am guessing NON of those are related to accessing Data right? The Apache webserver uses time_t as a reference. It could be using it wrongly and igonoring the minus... to get pre 1970 times. I know htdig had some issues with it a while back, as well PostgresQL and some support libs for it.
