being controlled by a single, very clever Australian....

Some clinicians consider this delusion -- that Americans can only get
their news from one part of the political spectrum -- the gravest of
all. They report that no matter how many times sufferers in padded
cells are presented with flash cards with the symbols ABC, NBC, CBS,
CNN, MSNBC, NPR, PBS, Time, Newsweek, New York Times, Washington Post,
L.A. Times -- they remain unresponsive, some in a terrifying
near-catatonic torpor.

I say:

I think it can all be traced to sublimated Dubya envy. Coupled, in
some cases, with a kind of jealousy. The left used to think that *they*
were the progressives, that *they* were the ones who were going to
revolutionize the world, overthrow tyranny, emancipate women and all
that. Over time it became increasingly clear that they weren't. And
now the right are staking claim to that very title! How that must chafe.

Every girl that gets to go to school in Afghanistan is a slap in the
face to the hypocrites on the Left who opposed overthrowing the Taliban.
And then there's Saddam and his mass graves of unruly subjects.

By the way, pretty much all mainstream news outlets are crap, but most
assuredly *not* because they're all controlled by a right wing warmonger

At least I think it's intended as a rebuttal. Seems to me it just proves
Krauthammer's point. Disjointed, rambling and paranoid. Was she off
her meds when she typed this in?
