New Wackiness with .sig

Hi!

My sig seems to be having, uh... issues. It's text surrounded by a <pre> tag, and for some reason the font size is getting changed.

Also, the forum seems to be adding spurious <br> tags at the end of each line, which is not necessary (and in fact screws it up) within a <pre> block.

Any ideas?

New All carriage returns are converted into <BR> tags
At some point that will be normalized with all of the other html bits, but for now, keep that in mind.

New Question:
Why are [br] tags being rendered as a double carriage-return (i.e. a blank line between the line ending in [br] and the next line of text)? I thought that was the way that [p] tags were to be rendered; [br] tags did not have that extra blank line.

Just wondering...

(Resistance is not futile...)
New Because the text is between pre tags
That is, it's preformatted text. The browser should render this as if it was in a plain text text editor; monospace font, and all spaces etc maintained. So, the browser is rendering the hard returns, and then adding a break.

New What if you took your pre tags out?
Looking at the raw HTML, it looks like you've put <pre> tags around it yourself.

New The font will then switch to variable spaced...
See below to see what I mean. I'm more or less reproducing my usenet .sig for this board...

New Ah -- yes, I missed that detail.
What about using a <code> tag?
