Knew a guy somewhat older than myself who while attending Juliard worked in a hotel frequented by wealthy people. Class warfare being the order of the day he always asked the kitchen staff what was safe to eat. In particular, one of the cooks was known to stand on a stool while adding a little extra zing to the tossed salad.

His advice was to never eat at places rich people eat.
