All in all, it's becoming an act of insanity to connect a Windows computer to the Internet unless you are in a professionally maintained security environment, and 90+ are not.

Because our government is owned by the spam and scumware interests (see the Can Spam bill (aka the You Can Spam bill)) we will get no assistance from there or from law enforcement (won't be funded) even though this crap probably clearly violates plenty of laws currently on the books.

Something like 85% of this trash originates from inside the U.S..
