Amazon.com, the big online bookseller, sells my book, Invisible Enemy: Israel, Politics, Media, and American Culture, and has been doing so since the first printing hit the street last year. Twelve people reviewed the book on the Amazon.com website, and the book had a 4-star rating as a result of the reviews.
Two months ago, all of the reviews suddenly disappeared from Amazon.com's web page for my book, and were replaced by ONE review, by a fellow named Irwin N. Graulich. If you Google this guy, yoiu find that he bills himself as a "Jewish motivational speaker." As you might imagine, his review was a nasty ad hominem attack, along with a rating of one star (out of 5, 5 being the highest).
When I emailed Amazon.com and asked them why they removed all of the good reviews and replaced them with one nasty review, they said they were sorry, and that they would remove the nasty review, if it was offensive in their view. However, they said that they could not replace any of the positive reviews that had been removed from the site.
(The book is heavily advertized on the Aljazeera website, BTW)
