New That is a personal preference.
Just because it is a bad choice for you. Many choose MySQL, with guidance. Many choose MySQL because the other guy is. Many choose MySQL, because they don;t want to be constrained by all the automagicness of Postgres. Or they don;t want all the features PG offers.

Just because it is NOT good for you doesn;t mean it is wrong for others.
