New No Ayers Rock?
Time for Lord Stanley to get a Tan
questions, help? [link|mailto:pappas@catholic.org|email pappas at catholic.org]
New Haven't been to see it (aka Uluru) myself, yet.
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
New eh? gas up the car
and drive 3 days and go look. Shoot the only thing I havnt gazed at in this country is Carlsbad caverns and rhode Island, but I have driven past both. (assuming there is a road that way.)
thanx,
bill

New 3 days?
Maybe if it were paved highway all the way. As it stands, it's probably cheaper to fly there, rather than hire a 4wd & Satellite phone & radio safetry beacon etc, and buy provisions/accomodation to last the drive there and back.

By all accounts though, once you get there, the view is magnificent.
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
New View for most of the trip is ...

hypnotic & crash inducing & painful for people not used to it. We always advise visiting friends to fly & live

Cheers

Doug

New Uluru
Great place to visit.
Went there many years ago as a kid.
Was amongst the last few able to camp at the rock itself.
Check out the following picture for the rock being rained on.
Doesn't happen too often.
