I'd think you'd want the exact opposite: every ten minutes check if there are new posts and refresh if there are any. I must be looking at something backwards. === Implicitly condoning stupidity since 2001.

Basically, John wants it to refresh until there's something new, at which point the "NEW" will show up in the title bar and he can happily satisfy his addiction.
