I've been seeing a high rate of failure in Linksys wireless products, but that might be limited to their 802.11b equipment.

New D-link option
I haven't had any trouble with my D-Link router. Here is the non-wireless version for $41.99:

You can also find some with Wireless, 8-port, and/or VPN capabilities.
