New Couple of things to remember.
The Connector requires an Exchange 2000 server with Outlook Web Access enabled.

And one point to note is that you still require an Exchange 2000 CAL in order to make a properly licenced connection to the server.

The open source alternatives to Exchange are, while functional, sorely missing the "install it easily and get SOMETHING working" part. They're all a bloody nightmare to set up at this point.

OGO in particular ([link|http://opengroupware.org|http://opengroupware.org]) has great promise, but the installation is so complex and so manual that I've shied away from either using or recommending it until someone on the project realises that production systems require proper installers. [0]

The bits with "TODO: Write this section" will be at least as long as the existing document :-)

[0] Of course, you can buy a Skyrix licence, but that's not the point, is it? If you're going to buy proprietary software that's almost-Exchange-but-not-quite, I'd say you're cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Hmm. I wonder why there aren't connector-clones littering sourceforge?
