New Anyone hear NPR's ~5 hr. coverage - Congress/Jail ?
Good ol Joe-probrium managed to disgrace self twice, pleading for recognition that:
these ragheads deserve whatever they get because.. well, 9/11, 4 guys hung from bridge - to paraphrase only slightly.

Hard to fathom that This! was the US Congress in alleged fact-finding mode; the syntax, the false-premises.. the Uh .. Uh ..s, the patently false semantic CYA tricks: not long ago, a high school debate teacher would have marked 83.7% of the utterances as bogus. Wonder if we'll ever be able to afford 'debate teachers' again (or music, art?)

I can't possibly summarize; the scatter is just too broad. Anyone else?

New Heard clips - that was enough... More than enough actually.

If you can read this, you are not the President.
New Turned the channel within 30 sec of Joe's 'probrium
Tuned back in here and there (on C-Span). All I really remember near the end is seeing Rummy tap his watch impatiently (yes, actually) as some Senator or another tried to pin him down on some point or another. He had another appointment with the House you see, and didn't want to be late.

New NPR's ~5 hr. coverage - Congress/Jail ?
I caught both days...nothing to say that a number of bloggers haven't said better. Although Lieberman did another star turn ("All we did was sic the dogs on 'em and, OK, maybe we'd beat one to death now and again, but we didn't cut their heads off!!"), his performance was put in the shade by Oklahoma's Inhofe, whose scenery-chewing spectacle I will not call "knuckle-dragging" out of deference to the sensibilities of the higher primates, who must be blushing already at the turpitude of their hairless relatives.

cordially,
Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist.
