The empty fedora will be even scarcer here this month than it was last. In the unlikely event he should deign to remark on Abu Ghraib in the course of his occasional appearances, look for variations on one or more of the main freeper talking points:

No biggie; troops engaged in harmless horseplay
Saddam did much worse
Other Arab regimes are beastly to their prisoners
Don't judge Our Brave Boys by a few bad apples
Lesbians/gays/women in the military are at fault
They didn't apologize for the charred mercenaries at Fallujah
They didn't apologize for 9/11
Look how forthcoming we're being
Hey, it's war, get over it

Other rationalizations invited. It would never do to underestimate the fecundity of the philbot's delusional constructs.
