Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Got offered a case of wine 2 months back after ...
Installing a WiFi setup for one of the non-IT managers at work. I didn't know
whether to take him seriously or not ( helped him choose a WiFi 4-port router, ordered it for him as well as called in after work & set it up). I settled for 2 bottles of wine :-) - also ordered same model for a divisional manger (his office next to the other guy) but his son had enough net savvy to work from some notes I gave him. (PS Netgear WGR624 - both people have cable installed at home).

In a couple of weeks am going to run a couple of lunch-time seminars on setting up
home WiFi network.

Quid-pro-quo works fine for me.

Doug

PS Ash, that SMC Barricade from BBrown worked fine once I realised I needed a reverse connection cable for the wan port (my newer 802.11g routers & 4-port hub all have auto-sense & can adapt). Barricade is such a nice robust model. The D-Link too was fabulous as it works magnificently with my BPC cable connection).

New I have an 'arrangement' with my local bistro.
The owner has computer problems, I fix 'em, she opens up a tab for me. I've gotten some very nice meals out of this.

It is much harder to be a liberal than a conservative. Why?
Because it is easier to give someone the finger than it is to give them a helping hand.

New Neighbor is an accountant
I do his computers, he does my taxes.
