Welcome to IWETHEY!

New We better get some thanks from Tampa
We softened up the Flyers pretty good.

Bah!

Other than following the Flames (Go Flames!) the only hockey worth a damn left to play this year is the World Cup. We're going to have a long cold winter up here without hockey next season. (What the hell are we going to do with ourselves?!?!) Damn owners and players. Okay, here's the plan, us Canucks will take out the NHL Canada and NHLPA offices in Toronto and you Americans go kick the crap out of Gary and co in New York. Bring your sticks, jerseys and mouthguards as there'll be a whuppin'!

New All I can say is...
..*phew*.

That was a close one. Philly can't seem to play that neutral zone defensive style anymore. As soon as they do they fall back on their heels and let the game get away like they did in the third. They were much better defensively early. I guess the defensive injuries are showing through. Finally, though, they seem to be able to generate enough offense to compensate.

Dunno if they can get away with those kinds of mistakes against TB though.

Should be interesting.

New relax an watch the quebecois and russians win the stanly cup
they will be wearing tampa jerseys but unless you have watched tampa play lately you are going to see some hockey, not a wrestling smothering holding scmuddle.
thanx

New Hey bud...
we got a boatload of Russians toward the end of the season that weren't here when TB had their way with us earlier in the season.

Agree, though, that St Louis and Lecavalier are both top shelf and have combined for like a million points so far in the playoffs. They will be hard to beat.

The isse becomes how well Esche plays versus how many odd mans TB gives up (their main weakness) that Philly can capitalize on.

New things tampan has to watch out for
We need sarge on D for your first line but Brashear needs to be contained, I would watch that line produce some points. Richards maybe switching lines up but Hitchcock is the master of line switching. We have to keep the agressive forchecking but we dont have a registered goon, the guys have to take turns. I think it will go 6 or 7 but if tampa comes out the other side they will have proved themselves the master of both games, hockey and rasslin. Khabimumble is the key guy in this series.
thanx,
bill

New Got to play the Canadian card now
GO FLAMES!

The best possible Cup final, in my opinion, would be Tampa versus Calgary. Both are a skilled group and Calgary will bring the intensity. It should be a fast and mostly open offensive series.

New Calgary is a long way from Kanader :-)
Almost nice enough to live in.

New Been to Calgary...
...and this Trawnna boy don't want to go back. There were two good things about the place: 1) the temperature for that February week was around 0-5c (chinooks are a crapshoot) 2) the beef. That's it. The city is small and you have to have a car. The mountains are too far away to enjoy looking at and there's no waterfront which is strange when you've grown up with it.

The only other place in Canada I could see myself living in right now is Vancouver. The city is bigger, the mountains are lovely, the waterfront is everywhere and the climate is good. The rain sucks but there's no such thing as perfection here so you have to go with the lesser of all evils.
