In MS's eyes, "compliant" means "displays the way we want it to look in the latest version of Internet Explorer - all others need not apply." Could be a good shitfight if the W3C decide to riposte with "Well, msn.com *isn't* compliant - and if it were, there are lots of browsers that would display it correctly, not just IE."
