New Doesn't this make the case against the Bushes worse?
Given your earlier quote...
Damn..nothing like a "Nostradamus" prediction there! since we (on our soil)had been the victim of 2 massive terror attacks in the 10 years prior.

So, as I understand it, you stating that Hart is full of it because Hart is claiming MORE attacks in the next 25 years was stupid because we were attacked twice in the last 10 years. Another domestic attack should've been painfully obvious to see.

The speech was postponed in the chaos of the day, part of which Rice spent in a bunker. It mentioned terrorism, but did so in the context used in other Bush administration speeches in early 2001: as one of the dangers from rogue nations, such as Iraq, that might use weapons of terror, rather than from the cells of extremists now considered the main security threat to the United States.

The text also implicitly challenged the Clinton administration's policy, saying it did not do enough about the real threat -- long-range missiles.

Yet, the White House viewed Ballistic Missiles as the real threat to the US. "We need to worry about the suitcase bomb, the car bomb and the vial of sarin released in the subway," according to excerpts of the speech provided to The Washington Post. "[But] why put deadbolt locks on your doors and stock up on cans of mace and then decide to leave your windows open?

Why worry about the windows when the criminals keep using the front door?

The soul and substance of what customarily ranks as patriotism is moral cowardice and always has been...We have thrown away the most valuable asset we had-- the individual's right to oppose both flag and country when he (just he, by himself) believed them to be in the wrong. We have thrown it away; and with it all that was really respectable about that grotesque and laughable word, Patriotism.

- Mark Twain, "Monarchical and Republican Patriotism"
New And it continues...
...Somebody, anybody, no matter how conflicted his interests are, comes out telling people what they want to hear and its granted gospel status.

Quit frothing...its gonna get on your shirt:-)
