New USB storage on 2.6
I have a usb-storage device that works fine under 2.4.

Under 2.6, no worky. When I mount /mnt/camera, I get "mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device".

usbfs is mounted. usbcore, ehci-hcd, and usb-storage are loaded.

Any ideas?

New I get USB
mouse problems under 2.6, myself.

Annoying, as I really like my new mouse & keyboard - RF wireless optical mouse especially.

New Err... udev.
apt-get install udev

Although it causes problems itself. udev is basically a RAMFS for /dev

It is user controllable if need be.

New Important safety tip:
When upgrading your kernel, be careful not to get smart and omit important modules from your build in the name of "saving time during compilation"...
