My evidence is anecdotal
But I'd guess that about 1/3 of the laptops I see in cafes are Macs now. I think they are making real inroads in the home market.
I don't think you can say the same about enterprise - so many companies are heavily invested in crapware, they will be very slow to change. Many of them still think Apple stuff is too expensive. I don't think its expensive at all considering what you get.
CheapBastards gave me a brand new Dell laptop that couldn't do anything. No firewire, no wireless, no rendezvous, no ftpd, no sshd, it was a major ordeal to figure out how to move a file from it to my PB. You pay less but you get practically nothing for your money.
What a joke.
