My grade came in for Critical Thinking
I got an A- in the class.
I am busy with college, personal, family, and other stuff, but thought I'd drop in and post my grade as I promised to.
Current class is Computer Fundamentals, Information Systems, and no they would not let me quiz out of it despite me scoring a perfect 100% on the self assessment test taken before the class. I am bored out of my skull! I equate it to taking Kindergarden all over again! We just learned binary, weeeee! Only me and two other people in the class really got it. I corrected several of the instructor's mistakes over the 6 hours of the class, I bet he must really like me? ;) He disected a computer and I named all the parts in it. Eagle 1600, 10M MFM hard drive, MGA display adapter, etc. I even knew the IBM mainframes 360, 370, 4381, etc that he asked us if we knew of any. How would the rest of you computer experts handle such a class? Only challenge is writing the team and personal papers and making sure I use proper Grammar and APA formatting and cite my sources.

Re: Congrats :) How's the wife and son?
My wife they said they think she has a cyst, and needs a followup to know for sure.
My son is still getting sick. To tell you the truth, I've been throwing up a lot too. Had a temp of 100.3, and was flushed. Could be stress too, I've had a lot of that recently. My son woke up unable to breathe last night and I was able to help him as my wife slept. I could not sleep as I was throwing up, then I heard him gagging and choking too. My wife is a nurse and she thinks we both have an allergy infection or something.

I took your advice
and paid f*cking attention too! :) Hence the A- grade instead of a C.
Now I just need Philosophy, Logic, Psychology, and I can improve myself more. Too bad my current college does not offer those classes for my degree. Oh well I can always pick them up at a State or Community college later.

Also congrats.
And as for the challenge, watch for instructor errors. That way you are forcing yourself to pay attention. HOWEVER, do not correct the instuctor in front of the class, but do it afterwards.

I am, but I forgot to follow up on them after class
as I usually meet with my team over the next assignment and get distracted.
My instructor says he will teach/grade me at the Master's level. Also he seems to be asking me about things he is not too clear on now to verify them. When nobody else can answer his questions, he calls on me. So the class has become more challenging now for me.

That's terriffic, Norman!
I'm sorry to hear you and your son are still getting sick. I'll keep you in my prayers, as always.
I haven't been around on here much either lately (or anywhere else, for that matter), because I got "roped" into helping organize this HUGE family reunion, and I've been hunting up "long lost" relatives on the internet since Monday now.
I've found contacts in each of 5 out of seven factions, so only a couple more to go.... wheeee.... too many people in my family!
Keep up the good work!

Not baad..
Are you finding that, without the mechanical, daily! mindless office KeepBusy AtAllTimes + OnYourTimeToo: your brain is maybe functioning more Norm-ally?
May you continue to be surprised at how easy lots of stuff is, when you have control of your time and environment back.. If all goes well - I'd bet that you can find another less-rapacious field in which to work - without Hating It. Gawd knowz Which field -- but that's what we call discovery, y'know?

Good Deal!
Good work, dude. Especially with all the "distractions"!
