New This Iraq stuff is distracting us from catching terrorists!
[link|http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/12/18/1071337092941.html?from=storyrhs|Month after month goes by and no terrorists caught!]

Excerpt:

A document discovered during the capture of Saddam Hussein has enabled the US military to smash a ring of terrorist cells in Baghdad, according to US reports.

The papers, found in a briefcase at the deposed leader's underground hideout in Tikrit, contained detailed information on the insurgency's funding and a summary of recent operations, the American media reported.

Using intelligence gleaned from the find, troops arrested three former Iraqi generals and have broken up six of up to 14 cells active in the capital.

Compromise is for suckers. Seeking a middle ground is what led to 9/11.

New I'm not wild about the unified Iraq either. But progress...
is progress.

Nobody before has done any better with that arbitrary geographical region, and there's no reason to think Kerry will do even as well. Check your perfectionism at the door. This is the real world.

New !!
Noone could have fucked it up more than Cheneyburton and Shrubco. Your little nation-building enterprise has netted one chaotic wasteland where money is useless, another police state with murderous rogues wandering at large, and the third an explicitly socialist democracy and what might be a model for Europe - one that could easily again turn to authoritarian leadership.

Yes, you fuckers have it nailed all right.

New well so far you havnt done any better than the british in 23
Brief outline of history found here, now explain in detail what you have done in Iraq that has been better than anyone else. In detail please.
Also explain why the tribal leaders are being ignored by Bremer and the army as I quote one Sheik, the Mullahs preach on "my" sufference while complaining of being ingnored by the US co-alition. These folks dominate that society, would be a great help in intel and are being ignored in favor of mullahs and Exile asskissing. That is what floundering means, people with no historical knowledge trying again and again to make the facts on the ground fit their imaginings and wondering why it doesnt work.
thanx,
bill
