Dear Senator!
As you know, we have recently released a few British citizen that have been held at Guantanamo Bay. The article in Guardian describes the experience of one of those people. Among other things, he mentions dirty water, interference with religios beliefs, bad and even malicious medical help, phisycal and mental torture.
The article can be found at [link|http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/allnews/content_objectid=14042696_method=full_siteid=50143_headline=-MY%2DHELL%2DIN%2DCAMP%2DX%2DRAY-name_page.html|http://www.mirror.co...AY-name_page.html].
You, of course, will form your own opinion, but I find the methods we use to be unworthy of our great nation. That is something I'd expect to hear about Saddam Husein prison, not a POW camp and/or investigation prison ran by American military.
I do realize that you are a busy man, but please take time to investigate the facts in the article. If teh abuses do take place, they must be stopped. If the former inmate is engaged in slander, that should be stopped too. The situation as it is is a dishonor on the name of United States of America.
Sincerely - Arkadiy Belousov.
