We tried something similar to the second item on that list between two rooms in our house and had a hell of a time getting even a viewable picture out of it. And of course when you turned on the microwave (positioned inconveniently near the line of fire), it went all to hell.

Then again, I think our walls are made from the salvaged hulls of exotic alien spacecraft so YMMV.
