Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Win2K boot problem.
A client screwed around with disks and partitions on his Win2K Pro system. Everything works fine, but Win2K thinks there are two operating systems (both named Windows 2000) and he has to select one on bootup (one works, the other doesn't). Anyone know how to get rid of this?

New Edit the boot.ini
Boot the one that works, open a CMD.EXE window.

Here's your command sequence :

C:
attrib -r -h -s boot.ini
edit boot.ini
attrib +r +h +s boot.ini

When you edit the boot.ini file itself you can see which partition and stuff is selected; the entries in this file are the same order as the boot menu, so just remove the one you DIDN'T use to boot the system :)
