someones genenetic blueprint if it has them dying at approx age xx from a pre determined disease.

There are so many anecdotal stories of prominent 'health' gurus dying at young ages from the causes they spent much of their lives 'guru'ing against.

A bit like the slogan 'Jog for health' (then at age 65 suffer like hell from damaged joints due to so much jogging on hard surfaces :-)

. . to try to beat a problem they know about, at least subconciously - but in the end it gets them anyway. Hard to say whether they would have lived longer with or without.

It's just like therapists - they're often nut cases who got interested in therapy due to recognizing their own problems.
