We don't get HBO or HDNET up here. Thanks to the CRTC and our idiotic Canadian content laws. Sure we get some HBO programs on a variety of our channels but we only get a fraction. Not getting HDNET really bothers me since I've had HDTV for a year now. An application has been before the CRTC for a year now. There currently is no competition for HDNET in Canada and thus nothing to protect but the CRTC continues to take their sweet fucking time with this! I could be watching 16:9 framed hockey games and a whole whack of gorgeous HD programs. But noooooooo! Bunch of bureaucratic braindead moronic fuckers!
You could at least listen to the Leafs games online. mojo640.com and usually the opponents team has a radio feed. Check the listings on nhl.com. Not the same thing as seeing it of course. Unfortunately for you it really boils down to what sort of audience the Leafs would draw on ESPN/ESPN2. Probably not enough to justify picking up the games. If icravetv.com wasn't killed by the Canadian and American broadcasters you could watch a TSN and Sportsnet online. It's so great how broadcasters put in a replacement product after squashing icravetv... *roll eyes*
