This is one of the new items on our Intranet "What's new" page. (Name removed to protect the guilty): Mid-March Raffle for lunch with <CEO of 50 employee company>. Two employees will win lunch with <CEO of 50 employee company>, and drive his BMW! Oh Death, where is thy sting?

Well, I guess we can take some solace in the knowledge that

From our intranet (names xxx'd to protect the guilty):
Starting next week, xxxxxx and xxxxxx will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to have lunch with [CEO] and drive the Beemer. What fun! Two employees will visit with [CEO] on March 30, 2004. [CEO] will pick the lunch spot. Tickets are $1.00 for 3 or $5.00 for a whole bunch.
