Add overaggressive drivers who are not equipped mentally or physically to drive in snow. Mix in a city which doesn't have sufficient resources to deal with snow.
I pity you. But note that the initial physical conditions would not be dangerous in a better prepared part of the country.
Well they have been out all night but they couldn't start salting until the rain stopped. I don't know how equipped St. Louis is to deal with this, but we have known about it for hours and they seemed prepared to me. It's the drivers who are not slowing down and not realizing they need to, I think, that are causing the biggest headaches.
I have a Dr. appt tomorrow I really need to get to, but if my car won't come out of the garage, I might not... guess we'll see. John is gonna try and salt or shovel it, but it's a sheet of ice, so it might not come up easily, if at all. And I have a rear-wheel drive car, plus have to back out, so if I can't get any traction, I don't come out of the garage! ;)
