and injustice for all in the UK
[link|http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=36602|http://www.worldnetd...?ARTICLE_ID=36602] About 30 or 40 angry people gathered around Hammond as he held a sign saying: "Stop Immorality, Stop Homosexuality, Stop Lesbianism," and had a reference to Jesus.
"There was a struggle," Tomlinson said. "[Hammond] himself was subjected to a number of assaults. Soil was thrown at him and water poured over his head. Someone tried to seize the sign and he was knocked to the ground."
"But there is no suggestion he physically assaulted anybody," Tomlinson said. "He was the victim of the assault, not the perpetrator." typical brit crap, man states a point of view, gets the shit kicked out of him (ok by me) but then gets arrested for stating his point of view. Bah!. thanx, bill
same old crap, con artists ripping off fools. Ah, hell, Catholic Church it start off that way. They All do. Jesus probably had three walnut shells one pea, then he's dead and can't be questioned, Gabriel Dupre

I wonder
That story seems strangely incomplete. I wonder why he was carrying that sign in that place at that time. Seems like elementary reporting missed a beat.

How is that "typical brit crap"?
Sometimes, Box, you make no sense at all.

Well unless things have changed
one is much more likely to "get filled in" in the UK than in civilized places where you could get shot for doing so. Then the wonderful practice of arreting the beaten for causing the rukus in the first place. Like I said, typical thanx, bill

Ever been to Hyde Park on Sunday?
I believe that "Speakers Corner" probably still exists. I heard every form of free speech expressed the few times I was there. My experience with Brits is that they (over 30 years old) are not shy about sharing their opinions, no matter how caustic. YMMV...
Just a few thoughts,
Danno

thats why I find the article odd
not that he was assaulted, that goes with the course but it seems like in the last few years insane restictions are being placed on the brit public. like metric, euro's and no standing rib roasts that I find looney. thanx, bill

Whatever.
I live here, you don't. I'm not going to convince you that your opinion is horseshit, so I'm not going to try.
