First real WMD find in Iraq
[link|http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1120720,00.html|Guardian UK] Dozens of mortar rounds believed to be armed with mustard gas have been discovered buried in Iraq, Danish troops said yesterday.
If confirmed, the find will be the first discovery of chemical munitions in Iraq by coalition forces scouring the country for the weapons of mass destruction used as justification for the US-led invasion.
'All the instruments showed indications of the same type of chemical compound, namely blister gas,' the Danish Army said in a statement on its website. Final test results will be announced within two days. Not 100% confirmed yet, but this one looks good, unlike the other WMD claims. It's nothing for the pro-war crowd to get too excited about though because it's just a small batch of morter shells left over from the Iran-Iraq war some 10 years ago. They appear to have been buried in the desert since that time, and couldn't possibly be used. Jay

And that's only the publicly acknowledged stockpile. There's also the 50K+ tons hiding somewhere near/under what is now the Port of Zeebrugge LNG termninal.

BTW: Clark also said that Saddam wasn't connected with al-Qaida or 9/11. Why didn't we believe him about that?
