If fighting in Kashmir has broken out, there is nothing accidental about it. Part of the reason the area has always been in conflict is that it has a large Muslim population. And those Muslims have been active in the conflict, the Taliban and Bin Laden may be trying to trigger a war there in an attempt to start the general Jihad they want.

This is part of the reason that getting both Pakistan and India on our side was important. If open war breaks out between those two countries we will have to be far more careful in our actions. Heck even a border skirmish will greatly complicate things.
